Chris Chiappinelli joined Managing Automation as Managing Editor in 2005 and became editor of ManagingAutomation.com in 2007. Prior to that, he spent five years as associate editor and online manager of Area Development, a magazine dedicated to facility planning for manufacturers, and the leading publication in its field. Chris attended the Newhouse School at Syracuse University and graduated with a degree in magazine communications.

Rob Bois

Before joining AMR Research as a CRM industry analyst, Rob worked as a developer and project manager for several different enterprise software suites at Computer Associates. His responsibilities included managing the conception, design, and implementation of several projects, including graphical user interface design, customer management application integration, and sales configuration software design. He also performed on-site customer needs analysis across a number of discrete manufacturing industries and oversaw the development cycle through functional design, resource management, implementation, and on-site beta support. Rob received his B.A. in Computer Science from Gettysburg College.

Michael Hylton

Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Sterling Commerce

Michael Hylton is a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Sterling Commerce, a subsidiary of AT&T Inc. that helps 80 percent of the FORTUNE® 500 thrive in a global economy by solving complex business process challenges. He oversees product marketing for their multi-channel selling solution. Michael has 18 years of experience in marketing high technology enterprise applications and infrastructure. He previously worked for Tumbleweed Communications and Nortel Networks as well as several start-ups. Michael holds an M.B.A. in Marketing, a Certificate in Public Relations from Golden Gate University and a B.S. in Business Administration from San Francisco State University.
