Allan Wilson is Vice President of Lean Manufacturing for SAP. SAP acquired Factory Logic Inc. in December 2006 and as CEO of Factory Logic, he was responsible for the management and strategic direction of that company. He led Factory Logic's mission to provide customers with feature-rich applications and expert guidance to support success with lean production. Wilson began his career in Europe where he held positions in manufacturing and industrial engineering management with Massey Ferguson, Uniroyal and The Trane Company. In 1981 he accepted a position with the Triton Group where he led the deployment of an integrated manufacturing and supply chain infrastructure across multiple companies. The infrastructure supported all Triton companies that were engaged in the manufacture and distribution of electronic connectors to commercial and military markets. He built the company's sales and marketing presence to become the leading provider of integrated business solutions in the Aerospace and Defense industry. In the mid-nineties, Wilson led the company's foray into the maintenance, repair and overhaul market, ultimately winning the contract to equip U.S. Naval Air (Navair) bases in North America with integrated repair and overhaul systems. In 1999 Wilson became president of Advisian, a division of Western Data Systems specializing in e-procurement solutions. He presided over Advisian until 2002 when WDS was purchased by Manugistics. Wilson holds a bachelor's in engineering from the University of Glasgow, Stow College of Engineering and a master's in business from Glasgow University.
