The Story Behind the Numbers: CFOs are under pressure to provide insight and analysis in financial reporting

In September 2007, CFO Europe Research Services, a unit of CFO Publishing and part of the Economist Group, launched a sponsored research project with Oracle, asking senior finance executives in Europe for their views on their ability to provide analysis and insight in financial reporting. The report is based on the results of a survey and interview programme. CFO Europe Research Services surveyed more than 160 senior finance executives through an online self-completion survey.
