Rising Confidence in Economy and within Manufacturing

Manufacturers have a significantly higher level of confidence about the economy and their own business prospects going into 2010, but uncertainty remains about the shape and speed of the recovery. The uncertainty is reflected in the tentativeness around capital budget attitudes and in hiring plans.

Manufacturers are not convinced that federal government intervention has contributed to the recovery.
