Honeywell Process Solutions group recently announced an alliance with OLI Systems Inc., a maker of aqueous simulation software. The deal couples Honeywell's UniSim Design product for process industries with the OLI aqueous analysis application. The new, converged package, called UniSim OLI, will include a thermodynamic database, framework and numerical computation to simulate the chemical and phase behavior of aqueous-based systems. The deal marks a new partnership path for Honeywell as the company builds full-function products for the industries it serves. "The agreement with OLI is the first of many collaborations with best-in-class engineering technology providers who have unique expertise relevant to UniSim Design," said Mark Hagen, Honeywell's director of advanced solutions, in a statement.
