Wonderware, part of the new Operations Management division of Invensys, and its partner Mtelligence today rolled out version 2.0 of the duo’s asset management software, adding field service and predictive maintenance capabilities.
The Mtelligence Condition Based Monitoring asset health application is a key component of Wonderware’s Asset Effectiveness program. It provides a variety of enterprise asset management (EAM) and computer maintenance management system (CMMS) adapters, and a powerful rules engine for catching equipment problems. It is designed to integrate seamlessly with Wonderware System Platform, the company’s operations management software, which uses ArchestrA object-based technology to create a plant model, a logical representation of the physical processes being controlled and supervised.
Condition Based Monitoring 2.0 now integrates with Wonderware Mobile Solutions to support field workers via the company’s IntelaTrac mobile workforce and decision support system. It also includes updated work order templates and an enhanced analysis tool for detecting equipment health issues.
By integrating with IntelaTrac, Wonderware said in a statement, the Condition Based Monitoring software allows operators to collect process data from non-instrumented plant equipment and upload the data to the plant historian for reporting on plant operational efficiency. The software is capable of sending process data to the plant’s work management systems, and can provide views of existing work orders and accept new work orders created on-the-fly by operators walking the plant, the company said.
