Supply chain software vendor TAKE Supply Chain today launched a new technology platform that will allow the company to redeploy its supplier management applications as on-demand services.
The launch of TAKE’s new OneSCM platform delivers on the company's plan to provide SaaS-enbaled SCM to its customers, and marks its initial push into the software-as-a-service model. Customers will be able to access TAKE’s supplier management applications online and pay for those applications on a subscription basis.
The initial version of the OneSCM platform features two applications. One manages the procure-to-pay process for material buyers, while the other manages invoicing and accounts receivable processes for material suppliers. TAKE officials declined to provide subscription pricing details.
The OneSCM platform underlying the SaaS applications is based on technology that TAKE inherited last summer with its acquisition of EntComm. Besides enabling multi-tenant hosting of supply chain applications, the platform allows users to create and deploy their own dynamic workflows for processes such as enforcing compliance business rules, said Jason Howton, TAKE’s director of US product management, in an interview.
