ClearOrbit, a supplier of real-time supply chain execution and reverse logistics software, has changed its name to TAKE Supply Chain and expanded its product line by 40% with the addition of eight software modules, company officials revealed today.

The name change brings the company into line with its parent, India-based TAKE Solutions, Inc., which acquired ClearOrbit in June 2007 and operates it as a global division based in Austin, TX. The division remains focused on providing supply chain products and services that leverage customers’ investments in enterprise ERP systems, the company said. TAKE Solutions describes itself as a business technology company with supply chain management, life sciences, and business process management divisions.

TAKE Supply Chain’s products are said to enable users to establish demand-driven supply networks for rapid response to dynamic conditions. In conjunction with the rebranding, TAKE has reorganized its products into four suites, one of which — Global Trade Management — is new, said Warren Sumner, general manager of the Enterprise Software Group at TAKE Supply Chain. The eight new modules are distributed across the product suites; six are brand new to the company and two were previously offered by other TAKE divisions.

The Demand-Driven Supply Networks suite includes supplier collaboration and supply network gateway applications. The company added two modules to this portfolio. One module tracks part non-conformance and enables collaboration with suppliers regarding those parts, and the other enables outside value-added processing collaboration and tracking.
