Software as a Service, on-demand model reduces OEMs' IT costs, provides 100% availability and eliminates need for internal support systems
SANTA CLARA, Calif., August 8, 2005--SigmaQuest(TM) Inc., the leading provider of software for managing product performances intelligence and quality throughout manufacturing and a product's lifecycle, today introduced SigmaExpress, the industry's first product performance intelligence software specifically designed to be offered as an "on-demand" service.
SigmaExpress, the initial software offering to be directly hosted by SigmaQuest, provides OEMs with the means to upload product test, engineering, manufacturing, and supplier data (such as product performance, equipment utilization, process variability, and supplier quality, as well as return material authorization (RMA) data from globally distributed locations). At the site, information is aggregated and synchronized for the purpose of helping OEM customers ensure quality throughout their product lifecycles. Details such as real-time yield comparisons, and marginal measurements between multiple sites and/or lines, along with analyses, are provided to the customer in the form of real-time, web-based dashboards and discovery wizards. The system also includes alerts that describe potential defects or problems as well as a list of actionable information.
