Aiming to help recession-strapped small businesses better manage their cash, Sage Software Inc. has enhanced its Sage BusinessVision 50 Accounting 2009 software package with new accounts receivable, accounts payable, and data importing features.
The Sage BusinessVision 50 package, which targets small enterprises that do not require full enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications, now includes tab views in the accounts receivable module that allow users to easily view from a single screen information such as a customer’s average days-to-pay history.
Additions to Sage BusinessVision 50 also include upgrades to the accounts payable module. Users can now more easily view from a single screen information such as vendor contact data and status fields. The AP module also includes new remit-to, check voiding, and invoice entry functions.
The software also includes new data import features. Included in the latest release is an easy-to-use wizard that guides users through importing data from Microsoft Excel or Comma Separated Values (CSV) file formats. Data that can be imported includes AP and AR transactions as well as customer ship-to and customer and vendor pricing information.
