SYSPRO, a developer of enterprise applications for the mid-market, recently announced a new global brand that encompasses the company and its flagship product, IMPACT Encore. Both the company and the product will now be branded under the singular SYSPRO name.
"We were diluting our brand in the field and we needed to remedy that and improve our brand awareness," says Joey Benadretti, SYSPRO senior vice president. He noted that the company spent 18 months developing a strategic plan that will reflect the company's product direction. "We're coming out with a more integrated environment for all applications."
The new strategy was disclosed at the company's recent reseller conference in Stresa, Italy. At that meeting, SYSPRO also announced release 6.0 of its core software product. "We wanted to standardize our product and company at the same time," says Benadretti.
Version 6.0, based on Microsoft's .NET architecture, has new modules for business analytics, document flow management, integrated CRM, and finite scheduling on top of its core ERP, SCM, CRM, and warehouse management functionality. The new release also has a report writer that produces documents in XML format.
