(OTCBB: ADEO), a leading manufacturer of robotic systems, motion control and machine vision technology, today introduced the AdeptViper(TM) robot family, a line of 6-axis articulated robots designed specifically for precision assembly applications. The new family of robot's speed and payload capacity make them ideal for material handling, packaging and testing applications. The 6-axis robot market is several times larger than Adept's traditional SCARA robot market. Adept recently completed the delivery and installation of sixty AdeptViper s650 robots at a major telecom contract manufacturer. The manufacturer is in the first phase of a multi-year program for cellular phone assembly that is expected to result in the sale and delivery of over 400 AdeptViper s650 robots over the course of this contract.
