RedPrairie Corp., a developer of warehouse and labor applications, said it has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Vocollect. The agreement calls for incorporating Vocollect's integrated voice-directed distribution system in a planned release of RedPrairie's DLx Warehouse and DLx Labor supply chain execution (SCE) products.
RedPrairie said that integrating Vocollect's Talkman product will provide real-time voice direction to workers and allow analysis of warehouse labor performance down to the second an item is received, stored, picked, and loaded.
Separately, RedPrairie signed an agreement with India's Sonata Software Ltd. under which Sonata will market, implement, and support RedPrairie's DigitaLogistix Supply Chain Execution suite in India and other parts of Asia. Sonata's first implementation already is in progress at Hindustan Lever, the Indian division of global foods and home and personal care product provider Unilever.
