Preactor International, a U.K.-based maker of advanced production planning and scheduling software, said today it will look to strengthen its presence in the North American market by opening an office in Dallas to support its partner network in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Preactor North America (PNA), a wholly owned subsidiary of Preactor International, will continue to rely on its primary North American partner, Quinn & Associates Inc., to sell products and provide implementation and integration services. Meanwhile, PNA will push to create more brand recognition and visibility by aggressively marketing its partners’ services, the company said.
Preactor sells its production management software through a network of accredited partners that also support and customize the applications. There are currently more than 400 worldwide partners, some of which are vendors or distributors of ERP, MES, PLM, and supply chain software.
The company’s eponymous flagship product — now on version 11 — is in use at more than 3,000 companies in 67 countries. To better support its resellers, the company established Preactor Software India in 2005 and Preactor Europe in 2008. Now, Preactor is focused on building a stronger presence in North America.
