A mostly unseen force is eating away at manufacturing operations, and SoftSwitching Technologies and companies of its ilk are working to stop it.

Between faulty machinery and faulty electrical feeds, manufacturers have their hands full trying to keep their production lines up and running. That unseen force, however, can blur the lines between the two.

Electrical voltage sags are often the culprits, and they can be so subtle that when a component like a PLC or an RFID reader cuts out and interrupts operations, manufacturers blame the machinery, leading to needless finger-pointing and a protracted effort to find a remedy.
