Elemica, which manages a supply chain-focused B2B network, today announced two new SaaS offerings aimed at boosting the speed and efficiency of order fulfillment between buyers and sellers in the manufacturing chain.

The company’s Print-to-Market and Email-to-Market products work in conjunction with Elemica’s Business Process Network, allowing materials suppliers to create a “touchless” process for orders sent by fax or e-mail, and eliminating the need for manual order entry. The system automatically converts these orders into an electronic format of the seller’s preference, be it XML, EDI, or another, a process Elemica says reduces order errors and speeds up order fulfillment.

The company said several companies on the Elemica network are already using the new technology, which is delivered as an online service. One of those companies is Dow Chemical, which today extolled the technology’s benefits.

"Elemica's Print-to-Market and Email-to-Market solutions are a completely non-intrusive way to electronically connect with your customers and automate orders that were previously placed by fax or e-mail," said Jens Garby, director of business services at Dow, in today’s statement.
