It didn't take Norman Gilsdorf long to set new expectations for Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS). Appointed president of the group in January, Gilsdorf, former vice president and general manager of HPS EMEA, has his sights set on creating a cohesive global business.
Gilsdorf stepped into the top spot at HPS in January, following the departure of Jack Bolick, who retired after six years in the role. Bolick's legacy was the unification of what was a very disconnected process solutions business.
Gilsdorf plans to take the foundation Bolick established and roll it out around the world.
"Jack took a business that in 2002 was not in very good shape, as it was broken up in different pieces. He brought the whole group together ... stabilized it, and then delivered on technology commitments and rebuilt customer relationships," Gilsdorf told Managing Automation. "I need to keep and preserve that, and take it to the next level."
