Business process management software vendor Questetra today released version 5.2 of its BPM Suite SaaS Edition, saying the update delivers more control to non-technical users of the software.
Aimed at businesses with 20 to 200 employees, the process control software helps manufacturers and other companies create visual maps of their business workflows. According to Questetra, the on-demand software can also serve as a platform on which employees conduct tasks based on pre-defined workflows.
“Because the software is primarily used in workflows with significance on human input — issuing invoices, preparing estimates, … etc. — changes in the new version have been focused on functions that enable non-engineers and non-programmers to improve the workflow system,” the company said in a statement.
Examples of manufacturing processes covered by the web-based software are an automated estimate process by which a sales team responds to customers’ requests for quotes; the process of routing a customer order to production; and automatic invoice generation once a customer confirms delivery of product. Users can diagram each process in a graphical layout that shows how each task in the process is connected.
