FusionOps, a purveyor of on-demand performance management software, today rolled out a business intelligence module that the company claims can quickly bring visibility into business performance with less cost and hassle than traditional BI offerings.
FusionOps Insight is a SaaS-based, configurable composite application that connects to an on-premise ERP application. This version of Insight connects specifically to SAP apps; a later version will tie into Oracle and other ERP applications.
Customers access Insight from the FusionOps website, downloading a setup program that grants read-only access to the SAP documents needed for reporting. From there, the on-demand application delivers a dashboard of KPIs detailing the manufacturer’s inventory management, procurement and spending, supply chain management, and supplier performance, the company said.
“The key aspect is that this solution can be deployed and operational with metrics in a few hours — less than a day,” said FusionOps CEO and President Ram Mohan in an interview with Managing Automation. Users can configure the business rules to change the dashboard view without changing the application, he said.
