New Execs Named at Made2Manage

Posted on Oct 01, 2003

Jeff Tognoni has replaced Dave Wortman as chief executive officer of ERP software vendor Made2Manage Systems. Tognoni is a member of Battery Ventures, the venture capital firm that acquired Made2Manage in August of this year. Tom Millay, also of Battery Ventures, becomes vice president of marketing, sales, and services. Wortman helped the company grow from $3.9 million to $30 million in revenue and expanded its user base from 244 to 1,700 customers over his 10-year tenure. Tognoni says that the changes were made because the market has matured and the company needs a management team that can "transition the company to a stable, slower-growth model with more resources focused on existing customers as opposed to bringing the next new customer in." Tognoni also says their priority is to be "more proactive with our existing customer accounts going forward." Other executives leaving Made2Manage include Gary Rush, vice president, sales; Scott Heil, vice president, development; Joe Swern, vice president, services and support; and Sam Amore, vice president, marketing. Traci Dolan, chief financial officer and vice president, finance; and Ray Vallillo, vice president, support and technical services, will remain in those roles.
