The three companies are Camstar Systems Inc., CIMNET Inc., and Realtime Information Systems Pty Ltd. Functions that will be provided via the alliances are product tracking and genealogy, resource allocation and status, dispatching production units, data collection and acquisition, quality management, maintenance management, and performance analysis. "When a customer purchases one of our alliance solutions, he gets a proven system that won't require custom interfaces," says Jim Welch, Intellution's executive vice president of strategic planning and development. The orientation of this alliance is to provide a "best-fit" solution for specific industries, according to Welch. Intellution's approach is to respect the unique needs of vertical markets and, to that end, has formed partnerships with companies that offer experience, functionality, and solutions for each industry.
