| Keywords: | enterprise manufacturing intelligence | As manufacturing intelligence software provider Incuity Software, Inc. moves to broaden its market base and build out deployments with existing customers, the company this week delivered a sturdier version of its IncuityEMI data analysis tool. The new functionality in IncuityEMI 2.5 includes enhancements to the application's Unified Production Model, better integration with SQL Server, and improved internal "Incuity" tags for handling data that is entered manually or comes from external sources. Like most business intelligence applications, IncuityEMI is, first and foremost, a data presentation engine, gathering key information from across the enterprise and delivering it in a usable format, often via graphical Excel spreadsheets. The instrumentation scattered throughout a factory and the business applications that manage orders and scheduling act as the data sources that feed the manufacturing intelligence application.
