To demonstrate the value of real-time tracking and improved security for intermodal cargo containers, Greybox Logistics Services Inc., a subsidiary of Transamerica Leasing Inc. and a provider of container logistics management services, has teamed up with Savi Technology.
The goal of the alliance is to provide a new level of asset knowledge and real-time visibility data from point of origin to destination. Toward that end, Greybox will help customers evaluate Savi's real-time radio-frequency identification monitoring system and its SmartSeal electronic container sealing system, which protects against unauthorized entry. Initial customers will be local shippers and transportation organizations in Australia and New Zealand.
