Geac Enterprise Solutions has entered into a partnership with Information Builders to integrate Information Builders' WebFOCUS business intelligence (BI) and Web reporting applications with Geac's ERP applications.
WebFOCUS will provide personalized views into Geac data on mainframes. This pairing will provide Geac's mainframe customers with new reporting and analysis capabilities. The two companies are working together to put a Geac face on the WebFOCUS functionality.
"The value-add from us is that we're building all the integration [from WebFOCUS] into our financials, HR, and procurement," says Isobel Harris, general manager, enterprise server. "Customers will be able to move data in and out of our back-office tools from other sources including the Internet."
Integration with Geac's HR applications is due out Q1 2003, with financials and procurement to follow.
