Sourcing optimization software vendor Emptoris Inc. (Burlington, MA) has acquired supply chain planning and sourcing vendor Mindflow Technologies, the latest in a string of acquisitions that has enhanced Emptoris's product suite.

The companies did not specify the terms of the deal. The Mindflow acquisition comes on the heels of Emptoris's April purchase of diCarta, a contract and compliance software vendor.

The Mindflow suite eventually will cease production, but Emptoris says it will continue to support Mindflow customers until they are ready to make a full transition to the Emptoris platform.

While not ruling out additional acquisitions, Emptoris vice president of marketing Kevin Potts said the company will remain firmly focused on its existing customers.

In the first half of 2006, Emptoris posted a 68% improvement in sales over the like period in 2005, posting a total of 64 transactions in the second quarter alone.
