Three vendors of manufacturing execution systems (MES) for aerospace and defense (A&D) have disclosed significant deals and deployments within the last six months, signaling a rejuvenated market that has been flat for the past four years, according to MES vendors. Intercim Inc., iBASEt and HMS Software Inc. have entered into agreements with companies including Bell Helicopter, Sikorsky Aircraft and Lockheed Martin. All three vendors are also looking to seal partnerships with software design vendors to align engineering with the manufacturing of aircraft.
