OSIsoft Inc., a maker of data aggregation and analysis applications, is remaking itself from a software producer to a unified platform provider. It is turning its real-time event management and data historian technology, called PI, into packaged suites of products. It is also expanding its market presence through a partnership with Microsoft and building out its channel through value-added resellers. Recently, the company introduced RtBaseline, which is powered by PI, but unifies all data from enterprise systems and databases. Recognizing the big-picture potential, CEO Patrick Kennedy has spent the past 12 months assembling a new executive team whose charter is to double OEM revenue, and get on the radar of manufacturing executives.
