As expected, product lifecycle management (PLM) software supplier Dassault Systemes (Suresnes, France) completed its $410 million purchase of MatrixOne Inc. (Westford, MA), an acquisition intended to deepen Dassault's offerings in requirements management, sourcing, compliance, and process modeling and to strengthen its presence in manufacturing sectors such as high tech.

MatrixOne's product line has been incorporated into Dassault's ENOVIA product brand, where it will be known as ENOVIA MatrixOne. It joins Dassault's ENOVIA VPLM 3D collaboration suite and its ENOVIA SmarTeam collaborative PDM product line.

Dassault, which reported a 27% rise in revenues in its most recent quarter, has said it expects the integration of MatrixOne to result in $8 million in administrative cost savings this year and $25 million in 2007.
