(Cincinnati, OH) recently formed a focus group to further the application and awareness of successful sales and marketing strategies and technologies. The Cincom Acquire Focus Group will meet several times a year to enable sales, marketing, engineering, costing, and information-systems professionals to interact and share ideas for improving processes through integrated selling systems. "Sales and marketing processes are becoming increasingly strategic, especially for organizations that deliver highly complex products and services," says Virgil Gaines, marketing manager for Cincom Acquire, Cincom's configuration-management software. "With this focus group, Cincom hopes to lead real innovations in sales automation by providing an arena in which industry leaders can discuss the pertinent issues of acquiring and retaining successful customers," he adds. Cincom held the first forum recently in Cincinnati. Representatives came from Litton, Gulfstream Aerospace, CML Technologies, and Cincinnati Milacron-all Cincom customers, although Cincom says it welcomes interest from non-Cincom users.
