(Chicago) yesterday said it had purchased Provia Software Inc. (Grand Rapids, MI). And earlier today, ERP market leader SAP AG announced the latest supply chain management module upgrade for its mySAP ERP product line. mySAP SCM 5.0, available in general release in June, includes three major new or enhanced features. SSA did not disclose how much it paid for the privately held maker of supply chain execution software systems. No SSA Global officials were available to discuss the deal. Provia President and CEO Ken Lewis was traveling and unavailable for comment, his assistant said.
