To extend the company's collaborative manufacturing footprint, Camstar has acquired the supply chain consulting and services practice of Unifi Technology Group.
The acquisition strengthens Camstar's ability to offer more complete product sets including real-time visibility and control across multi-plant manufacturing enterprises.
"What customers really want is the extended value proposition," says Rob Rudder, Camstar VP of business development. "Camstar can now build out the extended solutions required for collaborative manufacturing. We'll focus on an MES-related core competency and connect it out to PLM, ERP, and other systems."
Unifi's supply chain consulting and services becomes the Camstar Solutions Group and will operate as a business unit of Camstar.
