Mid-market ERP provider CDC Software turned in a solid performance to close out 2009, the company’s fourth-quarter numbers revealed Wednesday.

For the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2009, CDC Software notched revenue of $54.3 million, flat with the previous year’s Q4 total. The company swung to a profit of $7 million, reversing the previous year’s $5 million loss.

CDC’s license revenue performance was easily the most impressive among the company’s business lines, with fourth-quarter sales up nearly 13% to $10.5 million.

“The company's organic license revenue in the fourth quarter is attributed in significant part to growth from our core vertical markets, a shortened sales cycle, and improved cross selling,” said Peter Yip, CEO of CDC Software and CDC Corp., the China-based company from which the software unit was spun out in 2009.
