Taking advantage of strong customer interest in its 3-D and vertical industry products as well as overall strength in the design and PLM software sectors, Autodesk Inc. today reported revenues for its second fiscal quarter ended July 31 rose 33%, and net income rose 92% compared to the second quarter of last year. For the second quarter, Autodesk's net earnings reached $75 million compared with the $39 million reported in the like period last year. Revenues for the period were $373 million, up from $280 million reported in the second quarter of last year. "We had an outstanding quarter with strength in all markets and all divisions," said Autodesk President and CEO Carol Bartz, in a conference call with financial analysts. [Click to continue] |
