Aiming to re-energize its presence in the burgeoning wireless asset management market, machine-to-machine technology provider SAVR Communications has formed a new company called OnAsset Intelligence Inc.
The name change comes by way of a transaction in which SAVR officials started a new company called OnAsset Intelligence and then acquired SAVR.
“We started OnAsset Intelligence Inc. so we could take the products we’ve developed and put them under a nice banner for branding and marketing purposes,” said CEO Adam Crossno in an interview. He said the SAVR name had engendered confusion due to its similarity to RFID provider Savi Technology.
OnAsset Intelligence will continue to develop SAVR’s products and technology, Crossno said. The company markets Sentry, a multi-mode communication sensory device that can be attached to remote, high-value assets for wireless monitoring. The company also provides the OnAsset software platform, which facilitates two-way communication between Sentry devices and remote locations. In addition, OnAsset Intelligence offers outsourced network monitoring and other services to customers in its core markets, which include express delivery and logistics, pharmaceutical cold chain, general asset visibility, military and government, and oil and gas.
