Aspen Technology Inc. and Optimum Logistics have formed a marketing and technology alliance to develop supply chain logistics solutions for manufacturers in process industries.
AspenTech's supply chain optimization products will be integrated with Optimum's logistics technology to optimize purchasing, manufacturing, sales, and transportation decisions based on real-time
information.
The combined approach will help companies reduce the total cost of their supply chains, collaborate with their suppliers, and respond quickly to market opportunities. As part of the agreement, AspenTech acquired a minority equity interest in Optimum Logistics from parent company Stolt-Nielsen S.A.
