CyberShift and Oracle both upgraded their human resources platforms to address the need for real-time visibility and collaboration across a dispersed workforce.
CyberShift and Oracle both introduced upgrades of their workforce management software at the 12th Annual HR Technology Conference this week, addressing the need for increased productivity and visibility in global enterprises.
Version 6.0 of CyberShift’s Workforce Management 3G offering includes a next-generation distributed enterprise platform, a mobile device-independent platform to support an untethered workforce, a new reporting and analytics framework, and improved usability features supported by the company’s Strategic Implementation Methodology (SIM), according to the company’s announcement.
The new reporting and analytics framework provides flexible reporting, notifications, and detailed analysis to give companies the real-time visibility needed for workforce and expense-related business decisions, the company said in its announcement.
“Version 6.0 further demonstrates CyberShift’s ongoing commitment to invest in and deliver high-value solutions and services to our customers whether they are around the corner or around the world,” said CyberShift CEO Robert Farina, in a statement.
At the same time, Oracle upgraded its PeopleSoft Enterprise platform with four human resources modules: the PeopleSoft Enterprise Human Capital Management 9.1, PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools 8.50, PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management 9.1, and PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal 9.1.
The PeopleSoft Enterprise 9.1 upgrade includes 1,350 new features, 300 new Web services, and 200 industry-specific enhancements.
Among the Web 2.0 additions are chat, wikis, discussion forums, and tagging to connect users in their knowledge networks, the company said. Also, dashboards and workbenches with embedded analytics are said to increase insight and enterprise productivity.
The release, developed with feedback from more than 150 customers, is designed to accelerate business performance, increase user productivity, and lower total cost of ownership, the company said.
PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM 9.1 addresses the full gamut of HR responsibilities for global enterprises, Oracle said. The software helps to define organizational goals and assign specific objectives to employee performance documents for increased productivity. A succession planning tools helps identify key talent, rate and rank high-potential employees, and visualize results to build a leadership pipeline. The release incorporates Web 2.0 capabilities in addition to integrated talent management, workforce management, and workforce service delivery.
PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management 9.1 helps manufacturers manage the learning environment for employees, ensuring that they can acquire knowledge and skills in line with corporate objectives and regulatory compliance requirements.
