Combination of control platform, information software and professional services helps brewers better monitor and control production processes to optimize their manufacturing operations

MILWAUKEE, Oct. 16, 2006 - To help brewers improve productivity, efficiency and product quality, Rockwell Automation has introduced its Brewhouse Solution. The solution, which integrates control, information, implementation and support offerings, is a standard application designed to help brewers optimize production processes through improved process control, production visibility and business intelligence. As a result, brew masters can better manage their operations, improve throughput, reduce waste and decrease operating costs.

Adaptable to meet the unique needs of each customer, the Brewhouse Solution provides brewers with the tools and industry expertise to help solve specific performance challenges and facilitate better decision making. Based on the Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture system, which includes the Logix Control Platform and FactoryTalk integrated production and performance suite, the solution helps users manage the production of multiple products, while providing the consistency needed to meet quality requirements. The information management and reporting capabilities provided through the FactoryTalk suite help production personnel analyze operations and identify opportunities to improve yield and decrease waste. Capturing and analyzing accurate real-time information can help brewers identify improvement opportunities, maximize existing production equipment and reduce operational and maintenance costs.
