New solution composition and content enables faster, lower-cost adoption

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 10 -- SoftBrands, Inc. (AMEX:SBN), a global SAP partner and leader in next-generation enterprise software, has released a best practices combination of software, integration, reporting and deployment components to support the emerging market sectors of large SAP-centric enterprises. Emerging Markets Platform (EMP) combines the SAP Business One and FourthShift Edition toolsets from SAP and SoftBrands together with content that has been designed for small and midsized subsidiaries of large, western-based companies.

EMP supports the legal, fiscal and language requirements of over 40 distinct geographies and is designed to address the functional requirements and staffing limitations of simple to moderately complex environments. It contains NetWeaver-centric toolsets for pre-defined integration scenarios with corporate systems, compliance with Business Objects reporting standards, policy and procedure templates for the rollout of best practices and pre-defined project blueprint and administration mechanisms to facilitate a low-resource, rapid deployment model.

Unlike SAP''s enterprise-level products that are not typically used in small, remote subsidiaries for reasons of cost, fit, size of supporting infrastructure and communications availability, EMP is built around SAP Business One, which can be deployed in a matter of weeks with a resource and cost model that matches the constraints of a small and midsize company.
