Next Generation Long Haul/Short Haul Transceiver and Framer/LIU Combination Offer Small Packaging and Low Power - Ideal for High Density Platforms

FREMONT, Calif., June 15 -- Exar Corporation (NASDAQ:EXAR) has released two next generation eight-channel communications devices. The XRT83VL38 is a fully integrated Long-Haul and Short-Haul transceiver, and the XRT86VX38 is a Framer/Line Interface Unit combo (LIU). Both devices support T1/E1/J1 data rates and are available now. These solutions offer Exar''s R(3) Technology(TM) (Reconfigurable, Relayless Redundancy) as well as low power and a small footprint ideal for high-density line cards for advanced networking and EoPDH platforms including multiplexers, switches, routers, digital cross connects and wireless backhaul systems.
