Overview
The ThinkPad® Convertible Monitor Stand gives you two display options:
You can take advantage of the unique mounting mechanism specifically designed for flat-panel monitors. The flat-panel mount positions the display at eye level and allows for tilt and height adjustment.
or
You can place your monitor (CRT or flat-panel) on top of the stand by attaching the included top plate.
Monitors can be placed on the stand's upper support tray or affixed to the flat-panel mount using the hardware that is included.
Notebooks can be placed directly on the stand's lower support tray or affixed to the port replicator or mini dock secured to the lower tray with the optional clips. Only the ThinkPad Essential Port Replicator and ThinkPad Advanced Mini Dock can be physically attached for docking/port replication.
Rear supports ensure maximum visibility and access to the system and docking controls located beneath the monitor. The stand's bottom plate firmly secures the new ThinkPad Advanced Mini Dock and ThinkPad Essential Port Replicator for a complete desktop expansion solution.

Key prerequisites
The ThinkPad Convertible Monitor Stand is designed specifically for ThinkVision® monitors. However, other monitors may be placed on the stand or attached to the flat-panel mount if they:
