ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. -- Computer Lab International (CLI), a leading provider of thin client technology, today announced a new Ubuntu based thin client optimized operating system, adding to CLI''s specialized product portfolio. The goal was to develop a highly efficient Linux offering that is simple and flexible, while still providing strong performance.

Introduced on the MT2300 / ST6800 series of products from CLI following months of development and user feedback, the powerful operating system can now provide the ease of deployment and management through CLI Device Manager, CLI''s highly scalable and easy to use enterprise device management tool.

CLI''s latest Linux offering gives users more reasons to seriously consider Linux as the operating system of choice by offering an easy-to-use, great-looking, web-friendly experience. Features like the latest Firefox browser, powerful printing support, Synaptic Package Manager and an easy to configure and deploy Kiosk make deploying Linux easier than ever before.

"Our experience and expertise in the thin client market made this decision easy," said Jason Marshall, Director of Technology for Computer Lab International. "We believe our newest and most robust Linux offering will bridge the gap traditionally had with Linux by providing functionality more in line with full windows, without compromising price point or features."
