Companies can look to use the R110PAX4 print engine in their print-and-apply systems in order to comply with new RFID labeling mandates issued by the Department of Defense (DoD) and major retailers. Many consumer packaged goods manufacturers must upgrade their existing bar code label print-and-apply systems to support RFID. R110PAX4 enables these systems to incorporate RFID without any significant mechanical modifications and assures Generation 2 compatibility. It also offers features that improve print-and-apply efficiency such as optimized RFID processes for the fastest throughput, a RFID calibration tool that automatically selects the optimal processes for transponder placement in the label, and a system that signals and voids unusable labels and keeps track of both good and unusable labels. Zebra's R110PAX4 offers improved print quality, ease of maintenance and advanced connectivity options to accommodate 10/100baseT Ethernet and 802.11b wireless communications protocols, as well as an optional I/O interface with 28V programmable logic controllers to make the print engine fully compatible with the needs of the European market. |
