At its user conference this week, iBASEt, a maker of manufacturing operations management (MOM) software, provided a sneak peek of what's to come in an emerging area that combines engineering and manufacturing execution systems.
The duo demonstrated integration between Dassault's 3DLive software, leveraging 3D and PLM information, with iBASEt's Solumina manufacturing operations software.
Tying the two systems together solves the issue of continuous process improvement and ongoing digital process validation, the companies said. It can also reduce engineering errors and make the engineering and execution process easier to understand, they added.
