Touting its "20 years of supply chain and factory floor domain expertise," supply chain technology provider i2 this week released i2 Lean Lifecycle Management, a new planning, scheduling, and execution offering.
i2 Lean Lifecycle Management aims to bring rigor to what company officials say are the ad hoc tools and processes that often attend manufacturers' lean efforts. The product's capabilities include production leveling, pacemaker heijunka scheduling and execution, interactive dashboards for identifying and redressing problems, kanban management and execution, and visibility into lean metrics, according to the company.
