Despite the slowing economy, supply chain professionals — particularly those at larger companies and with more experience — are seeing healthy compensation increases, according to a recently released survey by the Institute for Supply Chain Management.
The average annual compensation received by supply management professionals — including wages, bonuses, and other pre-tax income — is currently $92,165, an increase of 4.3% over the compensation level of a year ago, the survey showed.
Receiving the biggest increase, the survey indicated, were supply management professionals with vice-president titles. Their average compensation of $210,419 was up 14% from the previous year. Supply chain managers, with average compensation of $90,088, saw a 3% jump, while directors, with $125,833, saw their compensation increase 1%.
