Manufacturing enterprise software provider Plexus Systems has announced the availability of integrated product lifecycle management (PLM) functionality in its Plexus Online software-as-a-service product. PLM functions are embedded in Plexus Online shop floor and quality modules, enabling a real-time, continuous feedback loop among engineering/design, manufacturing, and quality, the company said.
For example, when a Plexus Online user receives product engineering specification changes, the updated specifications flow through shop floor, production, materials requirement planning, and other business process areas. This ensures that produced parts are in compliance and meet updated customer requirements. The end result is a streamlined product development process and reduced time to market, Plexus said.
Plexus Online comprises more than 350 modules. The on-demand product includes PLM, ERP, customer relationship management (CRM), manufacturing execution systems (MES), and supply chain management (SCM) functions. [Click to continue] |
