Performix, a developer of composite applications for Recipe Management, Manufacturing Execution, and Electronic Batch Recording (EBR), announced that its Performix xMES software has achieved the SAP xApp Certification.
Through pre-built integration with SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (MII), manufacturing customers can quickly standardize on the methodology for recipe creation and editing, as well as execute batch manufacturing. The approach eliminates redundancy and accelerates time-to-market, the company said.
Many MES software suites create functional overlap with SAP MII and plant floor automation systems. This overlap often produces data redundancy, transaction replication, and expensive maintenance and support costs. Designed for the pharmaceutical and process industries, Performix xMES eliminates overlap by leveraging existing functionality residing within the SAP system and extending the reach of SAP into the manufacturing plant floor environment, the company said.
"The Performix xMES solution ensures that customers are deriving the most value from their existing SAP investments," said Sham Afzalpurkar, founder and chief executive officer of Performix, in a statement. "By developing solutions with composite applications that fill the gaps, Performix eliminates the challenges created by missing or overlapping capabilities between existing systems providing a streamlined approach to manufacturing from the corporate enterprise to the shop floor."
Powered by SAP NetWeaver, the Performix xMES Suite includes Performix xRecipe, a solution that standardizes the creation and management of recipes through a graphical drag-and-drop user interface; Performix xMES engine, technology that powers the execution of recipes; and Performix xBatch enabling the capture of electronic batch records. Like Performix xMES, these solutions enable full reporting and analytics through SAP MII based on industry-standard key performance indicators (KPIs). |
