Recipe management, manufacturing execution, and electronic batch recording application provider Performix has announced that its Performix xMES product has achieved SAP's xApp certification. Through pre-built integration with SAP MII, manufacturing customers can quickly standardize on the usability and methodology for recipe creation and editing as well as execute batch manufacturing, the company said.

Designed for the pharmaceutical and process industries, Performix xMES is said to eliminate the common functional overlaps between SAP and plant floor automation systems that can result in data redundancy, transaction replication, and maintenance and support cost gaps by leveraging existing functionality and master data residing within the SAP system and extending the reach of SAP into the manufacturing plant floor environment.

The Performix xMES suite includes Performix xRecipe, used to standardize the creation and management of recipes in SAP PP-PI through a graphical drag-and-drop user interface; Performix xMES engine, technology that powers the execution of recipes; and Performix xBatch, which enables the capture of electronic batch records. Like Performix xMES, these applications enable reporting and analytics through SAP MII based on industry-standard key performance indicators, the company said.
