Oracle Corp. this week said a reseller partner, Ndevr Pty Ltd, has integrated its greenhouse gas reporting and management applications with the financial modules of Oracle’s E-Business Suite and JD Edwards Enterprise One application suite[is plural correct? There’s more than one Enterprise One suite?/ess].

Oracle’s announcement, made at the company’s Collaborate 2010 conference, came on the same day that its rival, SAP AG, announced plans to acquire TechniData, a partner that has helped develop SAP’s environment, health, and safety product portfolio.

Oracle said the greenhouse gas reporting and management application from Ndevr now integrates directly with the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financial Management module and with the Oracle Financials module in the E-Business Suite.

The integration allows manufacturers to use the Ndevr application to capture data about gas, electricity, or fuel consumption as well as greenhouse gas emissions within the context of existing transactions managed by the Oracle applications. A computational layer converts the data into GHG metrics. Manufacturers can also use the Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition Plus BI capabilities in the E-Business Suite and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to perform data presentation and analysis.
