Australia-based product data management (PDM) provider Innovit announced that its iICE software has been certified for use with GS1net, a new synchronized data pool used by CPG suppliers in the Australasian region when creating their electronic catalogs and pricing information for retailers and buyers. PDM software is used to streamline the process of data gathering, data validation, and publishing formatted electronic catalogs to data pools. GS1net certification means that a particular software program meets the data requirements of GS1net for all industries that use the data pool. "Over the past five years, global data synchronization (GDS) has become a truly global phenomenon," says Innovit CEO Bang Chau.
